Before we started Miller Mortgage, I worked for the lending operation of
a nationwide home finance company. I loved working with
my clients, but some of the corporation's policies really tied
our hands. I'm a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island,
Illinois. So, Midwest values are part of my background. One of
those values is providing a fair service at a fair price.
After working in this industry for a while, I discovered this
wasn't the case at all mortgage companies.
I dreamed of opening my own company in order to provide
borrowers with a better choice. When John and I spoke about
starting a company based on our Quad Cities value of fairness
and straight talk, I knew it was the right idea at the right
time. We opened Miller Mortgage to provide people with the
opportunity to review financing at all levels, from a wide
variety of lenders for a reasonable charge. We have spent
years building our reputation for fairness and honesty. We
aren't about to jeopardize that reputation for a short-term result. We're
in business for the long term. |
